A
view down Mylor Creek from the verandah off our bedroom. It looks a little different at the moment (winter) and when the tide is out it almost completely drains!
The front of the house we are renting in MylorBridge. It was built in the 1930's and so is a new house compared to other places in the area!

The entrance to our place, it is at the end of a private road so is very quiet. If we want to be really unfriendly we could shut the gate as well...

The side of the house standing near the fishpond. They breed their fish tough over here, ours have survived a mud slide in their pond from the field behind us and having their home turned into a mini ice skating rink, completely frozen over.

A view from the front of our place down the road...fascinating !!!

A shot from across the inlet. Our house is the far right of the row of houses you can see. We are on the other side of the road from the water though so you can't see it in this photo.

View as you walk down our road towards the Quay area. A lot of the yachts here have twin keels so when they are left by the tide they don't fall over in the mud.

This is our road from across the inlet. The little Quay area in front of the white houses can flood completely in a spring tide and is half covered for half an hour every day or so. We have to drive along this to get in and out of our place. The houses there have boards they put up in front of their driveways to keep the water out.

The thriving Metropolis of Mylor Bridge. Note the Christmas decorations on the pub, The Lemon Arms. We have only been there the once and Emma and her sister, Sarah, terrified the locals with their rather rowdy behaviour......the wine over here must be a little stronger than what they are used to at Westgate.

The typical Cornish pub, The Pandora Inn. This is about a mile from our place and is very popular. There is a floating pontoon and outside tables that fill very quickly on a sunny day with all the 'tourists'. This photo was taken on New Years Day when Em and I went their for lunch and put the car in a bit of an 'old car' display they had there, see the Spitfire page.
